New Desert Sled Owner - UK

Hi.. picked up a 'new to me' 2017 Desert Sled yesterday, only 590 miles on the clock, so the 80 mile trip home is probably the furthest journey its done ! looking forward to putting some miles on it on the country lanes around here in Lincolnshire.. it'll also be keeping its elder brother company in the garage, my 1977 Ducati Darmah

Service light is going to come on at ~627 miles. Seems as though the previous owner got rid of it before having to do the first service.

I really like the way the DS looks. Since I live in the city I opted for the CR, but something more offroad worthy would be great to explore with.

hi.. hopefully not as its had 2 services done on time rather than mileage, and currently showing next one due in about 7000 miles ? I like the look of the cafť racer but the 'sled fits me better and is great for exploring the roads around where I live

Hi Neil,

Nice sled. I got mine last September & thoroughly enjoying it. Don't like the highways much & prefer the rural backroads most of which turn to gravel at some point so the DS suits my needs.

Sometimes venture into the forest roads & better firetrails but no serious offroading, that's what the Yamaha is for. Cool looking Darmah.

Cheers
