Unhappy Battery Issue?

So I recently replaced the return spring in my clutch assembly, reassembled everything, tried to start my bike and no dice. The voltmeter read between 11.9 and 12.2 VDC and whenever I pressed the start button a spinning sound came from the clutch area below the seat. "Must've drained the battery," I thought, so I removed the battery, used a friend's charger to let it charge overnight, reinstalled, tried to start it once more and this time I hear somewhat of a "growling" sound instead of the previous "spinning" sound. I go to check the voltage, and now it reads between 12.2 and 12.5. However, when I take a multimeter to it, it shows above 13 VDC. Perhaps the battery is still low? I'm not sure, and no repair shop here opens until next Tuesday because of Easter. So I'm basically stuck walking for now lol

Wonder if the growl was the fuel pump priming? If you're in the US Autozone, Advance Auto, O'Reilly's can test your battery and are apt to have a replacement.

Question Battery replacement/ upgrade.

...My 2017 Icon (11.0 : 1 compression ratio) has always cranked on the slow side. Wondering if there's
a recommended replacement that will crank faster. All my previous bikes have spun over much faster.

That sure sounds like a weak battery.

I'd boost it with a car battery or charger and see if it cranks normally. If it cranks boosted, then its the battery. If it still doesn't crank I'd look for loose/corroded connections all the way to the starter, including ground.
