Stalling when selecting 1st

Hey team I recently picked up a 15 classic with 28,000km on the clock
Just had sericve done. Belts ect.
It's happened a couple of Times when I have started the bike from cold or let it sit for awhile.
I will try and select 1st and it instantly stalls as if I didn't even pull in the clutch. Yesterday r it did it 5 times in a row.
Once warm its fine. But it is quite a aggressive knock when selecting first even when warmed up.

Thinking sticking plates or worn springs?
I dont get any slipping also

Cheers

I don't think that's a side stand issue if it knocks and lurches forward as you select first? Check clutch lever free play and clutch actuator angle that it's proper..I'd start with clutch lever.

I would put money on clutch cable not being adjusted correctly. It's probably grabbing when you're shifting from neutral to first and stalling the engine. Mine does this until I get the cable dialed EXACTLY right.

Update. I replaced the clutch switch. That was faulty.
Kick stand switch is fine.
It still does it. If I select a gear when the bike is dead cold and pull the clutch in its extremely hard to roll untill it eventually frees up, rolling back & forth
Once warm its fine..
Anyone?
