Well, I've been on M109's and other cruisers since about 2001 and just had enough of the big heavy things. Not doing e riding I did 10 years ago.
Went for new boots at Brisbane Ducati and saw the Icon...fell in love. Read and watched reviews, took it for ride 2weeks later, came back with a big smile which I tried to hide and bought it.

Only have a few hundred k's on it right now, but loving how much fun it is. Going to do something with the seat as I want to go back about an inch and the battery has been pissing me off on cooler mornings and haven't ridden in a couple of days. Not used to the battery issue so will be looking around for a better battery as I don't want to hook up the trickle charger they gave me. (Wondered why at the but thought the wife will use it on her VW Type 3)

Anyway, hello and look forward to hearing about some tips/tricks with the Scrambler.

Welcome to the fold.

I'm further down the coast in Sydney and whilst I do stick it on the battery conditioner most of the time it can and does get forgotten at times. Longest probably a week and it started just fine. I'm not sure if our low temps are that different at the moment, maybe there's something draining the battery?

Welcome. My visit to Brisbane Ducati was more along the lines of I saw potential in the Icon. Probably would not have bothered but the wife made me buy it. (Yeah you heard correctly ). Full Termi and Renthals later and glad I did. I find the suspension adequate but am a fat *******. ish...

Welcome! Congrats, which one did you get up going with?
@TheRealPoMo, that could be the site censoring a "bad" word on your behalf...

Went with the basic Icon in '62 yellow. Planning on riding it as is until I work out if I want to customise it. Had a look at Ducati Brisbane again and think I may purchase the Enduro seat. Much flatter and a little softer! My wife let's me buy what I want also TheRealPoMo, but she hasn't been on one since a couple of women car drivers have hit me in a 12 month period.

I look forward to some banter down the track and some ideas and suggestions on the Scrambler. Thanks all.

Yeah...here's me thinking this is a motorcycle forum.
Its actually an English language word to describe a child born out of wedlock and a type of file. Also a French surname. ...wonder if it would have got edited if the post was in French....
Feckers....

No, not me mate. Haven't been over that way in years. Not seeing any on the road which kind of surprises me.
